Cokey

I am not usually particularly sentimental with all of my work but this one I love. If you had the opportunity to read a little more about me, you would have learned that my passion for art and creating is centered on my love for beauty. This I owe completely to my grandmother, Cokey.

This piece was inspired by my grandmother. She was always quick to notice beautiful things and bring them to everyone’s attention. That was one of my favorite things about her. We would go on hikes, I would huff and puff and complain and she would point out every stream, butterfly, or flower that caught her eye.

I want to do that. I love the feeling I have when staring at a beautiful landscape or a captivating piece of art or a well made, intricate piece of clothes; the list goes on. I am thankful that my grandmother taught me how to look for and appreciate beauty, whatever form it may take.
