About ME
Art According to Ella Kate
For my mom, it’s running eight miles. For my grandfather, it’s pacing the house listening to his Bible in a year aloud. For me, it’s painting things for friends and family, or trying new things in the studio. It’s my own form of therapy; of rest. It allows me to do something that is mindless, but also so fun to me. I used to paint merely for the grade in school, but now, in college, I have started painting for pleasure and taking random commissions. Pushing myself out of my comfort zone and painting for others has actually been quite the fun challenge. Growing up watching my dad continue to boldly push creative limits and get outside of the box, challenged me to even consider selling my art and inspired me to finally create this site. Here I am now, to showcase my eclectic assortment of works for you. I hope you enjoy. Follow along to see if I ever find my niche in the broad world of art!
More About Me
Outside of my studio, I love to spend time with my family and friends. There really is nothing I love more than laughing at a good joke. I have been incredibly blessed in the friend and family department and am reminded of that daily. I am currently attending the Texas A&M University and would consider myself rather red ass. I love it here. The people are diverse and passionate and invested in each others success, which I find wonderful.
The most important thing about all of this though, is that I owe my love for beauty and any talent I have to the Lord. My dream is that my actions and my artwork might reveal that. I am passionate about my relationship with Him, thankful for His provision in my life, and grateful that I get to worship Him by attempting to capture the beauty of His Creation.
